Alien Theory is one of the [[Theories on the cause of Differentiation]]. It holds that Different individuals were created by members of an extraterrestrial race. Supporters point to the complexity of the genetic mutations experienced by Different individuals. They hold that only an alien race would have the technological sophistication necessary to create such drastic changes within the human genetic code. Supporters will often point to the reported UFO incident in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, as proof that aliens were visiting earth.

A less common version of this theory holds that extraterrestrials did arrive on earth and create Different individuals, but this was caused by hybridization, not purposeful genetic manipulation. Differents are the result of the mating of humans and this alien race. This theory is often presented as part of the [[Single Parent Theory]], with a single alien/human hybrid propagating the genetic code. 

This theory is generally dismissed by experts due to a lack of evidence. The UFO in Roswell was never confirmed, and no physical evidence of an alien race has ever been found.
