Walters
Walters are male human clones, created by the Different Walter Reynolds. The Walters are physically identical to Walter Reynolds, the same height, build, and appearance. Mentally however, the Walters possess only limited functionality. They are born with a greatly diminished ability to understand English and virtually no learning or memory capacity. The Walters are docile and compliant, making them well suited to performing menial tasks.
Walters have a lifespan of eight months to a year. They have an extremely limited ability to heal. They cannot recover from more than minor scrapes and cuts. The Walters require approximately 1,200 calories a day to function, as well as water and nutrients. They also need 6 hours of sleep a day.
Walters were originally used by Ultracorps in the 1990s to perform menial tasks for the corporation. Walters were used as janitors, farm workers, landscapers, and even performed some simple manufacturing jobs. In 2004, Ultracorps received a contract to develop Walters for use as sanitation workers around the Los Angeles MA. The program has been a complete success with over 2,000 Walters now actively sweeping streets and collecting garbage at any one time. Ultracorps has proposed expanding the Walters program to other Metro Areas.
